Ok, so as of this point in our blogging "career" Brittany and I have been doing mainly reviews and tutorials of makeup and beauty related products. Thats all fine and good and is the MAIN focus of our blogging, but something else that we REALLY enjoy is looking like a girl. <<<Yes we are both female, so let me explain<<<< Makeup can do a lot to help you when your feeling crappy or just want a pick me up, but if your wearing a full beat face of makeup and pajamas your gonna look slightly ridiculous. Things like jewelry and accessories and having your hair done all go hand in hand with feeling feminine and powerful. Now, I will admit when it comes to fashion, I have none...ZERO. I like my jeans, my leggings and my tshirts. However, when I want to feel that extra boost of confidence I'll throw on a statement necklace or a pair of great earrings.
I recently stumbled upon a website- www.bornprettystore.com that has TONS of really cute accessories and jewelry and their prices are freaking amazing. They have been generous enough to give me a discount code specifically for you guys to use to make those prices even more incredible. This code-> LYAT10 will give you an additional 10% off of their website! Let me know what you pick up and tweet us showing your purchases at #BornPrettySouthern!

Chocolate Cravings!
Hey everyone! I would like to apologize for my disappearing act, but while I was gone I have invested in some amazing new products! Over the next few weeks I will go over everything but first I wanted to start with my absolute favorite purchase so far! We all know I'm a bit of a Too Faced junkie, and I can't believe how long it took me to buy the Chocolate Bar palette! I am in LOVE with these shades (plus the whole thing smells like chocolate, how can you not love that)! These shades are super pigmented. Plus with the right primer the shades stay all day long and don't fade! My favorite thing is no matter what shades you pick they all seem to fit together! This is a must buy! I promise you do not want to wait any longer to try it out! I have had it for a month and a half and I have used it probably 95% of the time I'm applying eyeshadow! The colors are so pretty and they have a good mix of matte, shimmer, and sparkly shades! Go indulge on your chocolate cravings, you won't regret it!!

How cute is this packaging!
Thank you so much everyone! Sorry for the disappearance once again!

I'm baacckkk!
Well these last few months have been an absolute catastrophe. Not only have I neglected blogging, the newly formed YouTube channel only got 2 videos up before I went MIA. One of those things, I had tons of inspiration and ideas, just never had the time to get them up. So in the midst of my mysteriousness, I have found a couple new products that I have been in love with!
First things first, (I'm the realest... haha see what I did there ) I have become addicted to the new Melted Lipsticks by TooFaced. I have Melted Peony and Melted Fuchsia, and I have to admit I think I like Peony the best. Not only does it feel like velvet on the lips, its like the perfect my lips but better shade for me. It lasts a good few hours, and isn't drying on my lips. It does transfer, so keep that in mind.
Secondly I have been loving this new palette by Tarte, The Rainforest After Dark. It is gorgeousness in a little circle! Not only is the packaging to die for, but the contents are surprisingly good quality. The eyeshadows ( there are 6) are smooth, pigmented and blend like a dream. The bronzer and highlighter are also really good, especially if you have a fairer complexion. Now my favorite part is the blush in the shade Unexpected! It is the perfect shade for fairer skin tones for an everyday look. I don't think the blush is limited edition or exclusive to the palette, so if you aren't a neutrals lover like myself, and only want the palette for the blush, then try and get your hands on it separately.
I have hauled quite a few items in the past month, and if you are interested in seeing them just let me know!
I also am working on a collaboration video on YouTube for the new TooFaced palettes! Check our channel out around the 10th!

Time to Sparkle!!
Ok so recently I posted my new glitter glosses from eyes lips and face on our twitter account (@SBeautyBible) and there were a few who asked about the tint and what not so I made swatches for everybody to see!
Going from Left to right: Dazzling Diamond, Crystal Cranberry, Glam Guava, and Fuchsia Fireworks.
I will say these glosses are pretty true to the color shown on the E.L.F. website! Also they are just as glittery shown on the website! I put them over lipsticks to give me the extra shine and shimmer when in think it is needed! They are a little tacky but not to the point of annoyance and they last a long time which helps my lipstick last longer as well! Needles to say after I tried my first one I went and ordered three more in the other colors!

To Splurge or to Save???
Knowing when to splurge or to save money on make up can be tricky! Yes all the high dollar products are amazing and work wonderfully all the time! But did you know some of the products you can buy at walmart or your local drugstore work just as well? When I found this out I was so excited! Yes I still buy the high dollar products but not for everything anymore! Let me explain...
FOUNDATION!!!
WE SAVE!!!
Ok so I know how important foundation is to the beauty process. It needs to cover but not look cakey and it needs to be able to match your skin tone! I used to splurge on MakeUp Forever HD and man that put a hole in my funds!! It was the one of the most amazing foundations I ever used! Now I save because I have found two brands that are just as awesome as the MakeUp Forever HD. Revlon Photo Ready HD makes a foundation that is exactly the same I can't see a difference! It runs you about $12.00 at walmart! But what I have most recently found is E.L.F. Flawless Finish Foundation is just as amazing as the the other two and only $6.00 a container on their website!
POWDER!!!
WE SAVE!!!
A good Powder is just as important as a good foundation! Once again MakeUp Forever HD has an amazing powder! But Revlon PhotoReady HD has a good powder for half the price and and E.L.F. High Definition Powder is the best powder I've personally ever used! And it is only $6.00 as well. It is a loose powder and with all loose powders it will be slightly messy but it covers and hides and the translucent blends so nicely!
BLUSH!!!
BOTH!!!
There are amazing blushes out there in so many shades and designs and at all different prices! I love them all!! I would def spend $30 for a blush or $3 for one if I like the color! If you catch it on sale BH cosmetics has amazing blush duos and they can sometimes be under $3 each!! Plus you have your Nars, Too Faced, and Benefit cosmetics that are amazing if you want to splurge!
EYE PRIMER!!!
We Save!!!
Eye Primers are important in making your eyeshadow last all day! And finding a good one is rough because most drug stores don't sell them! I have found BH Cosmetics makes an eye and lip primer that is amazing! I use it every day! Also here is a little secret Too Faced makes an amazing primer called Shadow Insurance, expensive if you get from them about 21$ or more! But if you look on Amazon I have never bought it for more then $7. Also Clinique makes a Lid Smoothie that works as well but out of the three is the more pricy one, and it is only about $12 the last time I bought it!
EYE SHADOW!!!
SPLURGE!!!
I splurge on eyeshadows!!! I have yet to find a product better then Too Faced for eyeshadow that works for me! it is about $36 for a set of 9 shades! They are amazing! The only other shadows I use are BH cosmetics there big pallets are usually on sale and they are amazing but you need to foil them to make them last all day! Not with Too Faced!!! I have all but a few pallets from them over the last several years and I plan on trying them next time I can travel to a Sephora!!
LIPSTICK/LIPGLOSS!!!
Both!!!
I believe both expensive and cheaper lipsticks can be good. Depends all on the brand and colors! I believe that no two colors are exactly alike and no matter how many you buy you can never have enough!! I have over 30 lipsticks ranging from $2 to $30 or $40 dollars! I use and love all them so as a good rule of thumb for every higher priced lipstick I buy, I buy 2 or 3 cheaper ones before I buy another pricy one :D
Alright loves! Those are completely my opinion of what I save and splurge on! I hope y'all enjoyed!

Pencil, Liquid, Cream??
Ok so using eye liner has always been a pain in my butt. the Pencil fades to fast, the cream smears after a few hours and the Liquid can be a mess to put on. There are so many types and ways to use all the different ones! Well after years and trial and error I know where the best spots on the eye are for each one!
Pencil- Pencil eyeliners I have found are used best on you lower line...there isn't anywhere for it to smudge to and it usually lasts quite a while! A lot longer then on your upper lid!
Cream- Cream liners are good for tight lining! That is the only thing I will use them for! Some people tend to use them to line upper lid and do the wing liner but I find they smudge and smear every time I blink!
Liquid- Liquid liner is the only thing I will use to line my upper lid! It makes it super easy to do a winged eye and once it dries its there until you wipe it off! The only thing with liquid is that if you mess up good luck trying to fix it! I hate it for that reason! I can 100% say that Liquid liners and I have a Love/Hate relationship!
Liquid Eye Pen- As for the liquid eyeliner pens I have yet to find that works at all... you have to apply so much pressure and I really don't want to poke my eye with those things! I have tried E.L.F. Liquid pen and the BH Cosmetics pen and I couldn't get a decent black tint out of either one of them on my eye. Could be using them wrong! I don't know but I will not be buying any more of those!
Ok so there is a few things on the liners if anybody had a question as to what they are used best for!

Queen Elsa!!
So recently I attended a Frozen/Queen Elsa party for my friends 4 year old girl! The little girl wanted me to make her look just like Queen Elsa, so I had to do some research in the make up. Suprisingly Disney made this princess where you could actually copy the hair and make up! Well I got to looking on Pinterest and this is the closet look I could find:
I decided to try the look on myself before I tried it on my friend's daughter. This isn't a bad picture only thing is for me personally I really like for my shadow to stand out! Im really bold in my colors! Plus she had blue eyes and I have more of a brown or green eye (they change). I didn't go very dark on the little girl though I used a very light purple and pink almost to where you couldn't even see it!
This is my version of it! I didn't get a picture of my eye open but it looked really neat! I used a very very bold purple and covered my whole lid then used a red and lightly applied to my crease, then blended and blended and blended. When my eye was open all you could see was the red which had blended out to a bold pink! Everybody loved it! I paired with a pink lipstick and french braided my hair! Her daughter was so excited because we both looked like Queen Elsa!
Don't forget to spread the word about our page, when we reach 1200 views we will do a small giveaway via twitter so follow us @SBeautyBible! Who doesn't love make up giveaways!!
Stay Beautiful!
